Square has officially commented on yet another bug discovered in the already problem-ridden Final Fantasy XI, a bug which enables the exploiting adventurer to attack monsters through certain aspects of the game's geography while being protected from return attacks from the monster in question.
Square advises all players who are witness to the bug being exploited to notify game masters of the areas in which the offense is taking place. Square has also pointed out that any player abusing the bug for his or her own personal gain may also be chided quite severely. Punishments are not confirmed, but can be speculated to include such set backs as character locks, character deletion, and even account deletion or bans.
