Bigben Interactive, the leading distributor of computer accessories and software in Europe, has signed a deal with Funcom to distribute their MMORPG Anarchy Online. The agreement gives Bigben Interactive full distribution of AO in German, Austrian, and Swiss retail stores this coming September.
Headquartered in France, Bigben Interactive has numerous subsidiary companies throughout Europe, including Great Britain and recently made big news with a distribution deal with Sega of Europe concerning the entire spectrum of Dreamcast products. By teaming up with the distribution giant, Anarchy Online should have no problem reaching the masses across the Atlantic. Funcom's deal should also mean good news for North American players since in order for the game's much touted four-year storyline to begin, Anarchy Online must be readily available worldwide. With the help of Bigben Interactive, this goal should be easy enough to accomplish by September when Funcom hopes to finally begin the epic story of the planet Rubi-Ka.
