Publisher and developer Natsume this week revealed that it will be releasing a new Harvest Moon title. Harvest Moon: Light of Hope will see the series make its debut on three new platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. Release dates have not been revealed but like previous Harvest Moon titles, Rising Star Games will be publishing the game in Europe, with Natsume handling the North American release.
Harvest Moon: Light of Hope will begin with players on a ship looking for a fresh start. Unfortunately, their ship is hit by a monsoon and they end up drifting into a harbour town severely damaged by the storm, where it will be up to players to help rebuild the town and save its lighthouse. Like other Harvest Moon games, players will be able to grow crops, tend to livestock, and start a family. Natsume's President and CEO Hiro Maekawa stated that the company "set out to create a SNES-style nostalgic game with deep and meaningful characters and events." The game will be making at appearance at next month's E3.
