Atlus has new information about three of the recently announced party members in Persona 5. Along with brief personality traits, each character also has their beginning Personas detailed.
The first of these characters is Makoto Niijima, a third-year student who attends Syujin High School, the same school as the protagonist. She is reserved, calm, and responsible, but sometimes uncompromisingly so. Her Persona is Joanna, a motorbike with a woman's head on the front, said to be the head of Pope Joan, the mythical first female Pope in the Middle Ages.
Next up is Futaba Sakura, who is described as having superhuman programming and computational abilities. She is old enough to be in the first year of high school, but no longer attends school after a traumatic incident. Her Persona is Necronomicon, named for the infamous grimoire. The Persona takes the shape of a UFO, representing Futaba's undiscovered power.
Lastly, Haru Okumura is another third-year at Syujin High School and is the daughter of a wealthy restaurant magnate. She is kind and approachable, but keeps herself at a distance from others, seeing little value in intimate relationships. Her Persona is Milady, named for the Three Musketeers character, a spirit donned in a dress that hides a powerful weapon.
Persona 5 arrives on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 in Japan on September 16, 2016. The game is still planned for release in North America and Europe sometime in 2016.
