Compile Heart has taken the initial wraps off its new PS3 RPG, Fairy Fencer F. The game sees the company collaborating with acclaimed composer Nobuo Uematsu and his Earthbound Papas band, as well as Final Fantasy artist Yoshitaka Amano.
The game is being developed by Compile Heart's Neptune Team, who previously worked on the Hyperdimension Neptunia games. It has been stated that one of the game's key aspects involves Furies, leftover weapons from an ancient war between gods that are wielded by the game's titular Fencers. The story appears to revolve around Fang, a young man who has recently become a Fencer when he comes to the aid of fellow Fencer Tiara. The Japanese website for the game has been launched and can be accessed here, while some initial screenshots and artwork can be viewed below.
