Natsume has officially announced that the next installment of the Rune Factory series is making its way to North America. Originally called Rune Factory Oceans, the title has now changed to Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny. The game is set to release later this year on both the Nintendo Wii and PlayStation 3 platforms.
Hiro Maekawa, President and CEO of Natsume, states "We know our loyal fans have been patiently awaiting news of a North American release for Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny, so we are thrilled to announce that the latest entry in the fan-favorite series is on its way. Featuring a vast region to explore, a wonderful cast of characters, and a huge variety of activities to enjoy, Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny is sure to make waves!"
Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny tells the story of Aden and Sonja, two islanders who find out that their home has mysteriously changed. With help from the island moving golem Ymir, Aden and Sonja must travel the high seas, battling monsters while also being trapped in the same body. Natsume hasn't said much else about Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny, but has stated that new information will be revealed at E3.
