Atlus revealed some last-minute Persona 3 tidbits yesterday. Japanese gamers will find these things out in a few weeks anyway, but the rest of us will have to wait our turns.
Three non-playable characters have been announced: Takaya, Jin, and Chidori. They seem like average, everyday human beings, but they possess an unusual ability to remain aware and alive during Shadow Time. This would seem to imply that they are Persona users, although their true origins and objectives remain unclear.
Persona 3 also uses a new dungeon command called "Scatter." Using this, the party splits up and each member explores the dungeon individually. The player only controls the main character, while the others explore autonomously.
Persona 3 will be released in Japan on July 13. There is still no official announcement regarding a North American release.
