The United Kingdom's Nintendo: The Official Magazine has announced the European release of Magical Vacation 2 for the Nintendo DS. The magazine states that the game will be released in January of 2007.
Magical Vacation 2, a sequel to the Game Boy Advance's Magical Vacation, is being created by Brownie Brown, one of Nintendo's second party developers. The studio, which was formed by former artists of the Seiken Densetsu series, has also developed Mother 3 and Square Enix's Sword of Mana, both for the Game Boy Advance.
The game, which tells the story of a group of young students of magic as they travel across an interplanetary solar system made up of quirky worlds, is entirely 2D and sprite-based. The game plays out exclusvely through touch screen controls.
Magical Vacation 2 will be released in Japan this July. No announcements have been made by Nintendo regarding a North American release, but the game's arrival in Europe increases the likelihood. Stay tuned to E3 for the chance of more news on this game.
