Enix has released some new information about its upcoming PS2 RPG, Star Ocean 3: Till the End of Time. The game will take advantage of a fully 3D polygonal graphics engine that will have a camera that will be controllable anywhere in the game's world; however, in battle it will remain static.
While in battle, players will form parties of three characters that will be able to attack their foes from any direction on the battlefield. Gamers will lead the game's main character, a female named Sofia, through a number of sub-quests, including the recently revealed Private-action system.
Set 400 years after Star Ocean 2, the game is the latest in the highly-popular series by Japanese developer tri-Ace. To be published by Enix, the game is expected to be released in Japan sometime this year, with a North American release to follow later.
