Gust and Kool Kizz Interactive are cooking up a barrage of Atelier titles for release in Japan, across a number of systems. Kool Kizz will be releasing Dreamcast versions of Atelier Marie and
Atelier Ellie in Japan on May 31st, and Gust will be introducing
Atelier Lilie, the third title in the series, on June 21st.
Atelier Lilie is a PlayStation2 title, which Gust is releasing in response to the series' Japanese popularity; to date, over 500,000 copies of the series have been sold in Japan.
Atelier Marie and Atelier Ellie will be sold together as a package for 7800 yen, or roughly $65.00 US. The two titles will feature better graphics and new anime cutscenes which were not present in the original. Additionally, new characters and items will be included as an added bonus for gamers who pick up the compilation. Atelier Lilie will retail for 6800 yen, which translates to $55.00 US or so. It is doubtful whether any of the titles will be released in North America, given the fact that the original games in the series did not make it here.
