Nippon Ichi Software revealed that it is developing a new game in its ClaDun ("Classic Dungeon") series. ClaDun Sengoku is being created for PlayStation Vita and is planned for release in Japan on May 26, 2016. The developer and publisher also unveiled a teaser website for the game.
ClaDun Sengoku is the third game in the series, following PSP titles Cladun: This is an RPG and Cladun x2. All the games feature pixellated graphics and 2D dungeon-crawling gameplay. The game offers players a choice from seven jobs — Warrior, Aristocrat, Great Swordsman, Necromancer, Merchant, Sinful Priest, and Sorcerer — and eight weapon types — sword, blunt weapon, staff, spear, bow and arrow, short sword, shuriken, and sickle and chain. ClaDun Sengoku has not been announced for a western release at this time.
