Square Enix has opened an official site for its HD remake of Final Fantasy X, which was originally announced back in 2011. This has opened the floodgates for more information about the game, including its new title: Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster. As the new title indicates, Final Fantasy X-2 will be joining its predecessor in getting a new HD remake. In fact, the PS3 version of the HD Remaster will include both games on the same disc, though they will be sold separately for the Vita. These HD remakes do not have a specific release date yet, but they will be available sometime this year.
Both remakes are based on the International version of each game. These are expanded versions that include new content, which, despite the name, never saw a world-wide release before. Final Fantasy X International features an expanded series of postgame arena battles and a new Sphere Grid, while X-2 International features several major additions, include new Dress Spheres.
The new official site has room for a trailer for the upcoming remakes, but it is not available yet. That trailer will go live on March 25.
