Could all the recent old-school Kickstarters be making an impact on large game publishers? They may be, as Ubisoft has announced Might & Magic X Legacy, a project that stays true to the original format of the Might & Magic series.
The game will be developed by Limbic Entertainment, which previously developed an expansion to Might & Magic Heroes VI. Like the original games in the series, it will be a party-based first-person RPG with turn-based combat. The player's group of four adventurers will become embroiled in a secession struggle in the region of Karthal. They'll need to decide which factions to assist, then brave deadly dungeons and fearsome foes.
Ubisoft has not yet announced the game's expected platform(s), but it is expected to be released this year. This teaser trailer shows us very little, so hopefully more information will be forthcoming in the near future.
