Although CDProjekt has never made a secret of the fact that it's been working on a third Witcher game, the company has now officially revealed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
This third game is the final chapter in The Witcher saga, with Geralt seeking to track down the Wild Hunt and rescue his loved ones. He has regained his memory, lost just before the beginning of the first game, and also appears to have grown a beard.
CDProjekt claims that the game will take place in a huge open world, thirty times larger than the previous game, with no loading screens and no chapters to break up the story. Geralt will be able to cross the country by horseback and on ships, although there is no word on mounted or naval combat at this point.
The game will be released in 2014 on all high-end platforms, leading most to conclude that it will grace the PC and next-generation consoles. There haven't been many visuals released for it yet, but this teaser video gives fans a loving look at the game's logo.
