The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky is the first chapter of a three-part story in the series. Taking place in the Liberl Kingdom, the game stars teenage martial artist Estelle Bright and her companion Joshua, a mysterious boy who was brought to live with Estelle’s family five years earlier. Both youths are trainee members of the Bracer Guild, an organization that keeps the peace and assists the citizens of Liberl. To become full members, Estelle and Joshua must seek qualification in all parts of the kingdom, which not only sets their adventure into motion, but will allow them to search for Estelle’s missing father as well.
Along the way, the two will meet many other characters who will aid them in their journey. Among them are self-centered musician Olivier Lenheim and fellow Bracer Guild members Scherazard Harvey and Zane Vathek.
XSEED also mentioned that players will be able to shape the events of the game’s world. For instance, after a major story event, there could be an article about it in the newspaper. Or after meeting a character, and he or she says they’ll be heading to a certain distant locale, players may find the place and catch-up with said character.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky will ship on March 29 in a standard version for $29.99 and a Limited Edition for $39.99. A digital download version will also be available for the same price as the standard edition.
