Japanese magazine Shonen Jump has revealed another female character for Tales of Xillia, the next entry in Namco Bandai's long running Tales series. The newcomer, Elise Lutas, is a master spirit wielder, but seems to suffer from social anxiety. She makes her appearance with Tippo, an animated, talking teddy bear who also fights for her in combat.
Shonen Jump has also expanded on 'Link Mode,' mentioned in our previous coverage here. Each character has a unique support skill. For example, being partnered with Jude will allow him to restore the controlled character's HP if they are knocked down in combat, and Milia is able to bind enemies to the spot.
Currently, Tales of Xillia has no confirmed release date, and has not yet been announced for localization. However, the recent confirmation of a localization for the sister title Tales of Graces F has at least not completely shattered hope for American Tales fans.
