Atlus has now officially delayed Legacy of Ys: Books I & II, the Nintendo DS RPG which was previewed by RPGamer earlier this month. The game will now ship on Feb. 24 instead of the previous date of Feb. 10, but to make up for this delay, Atlus is now boxing in a soundtrack CD with every first run copy of the game. This was intended to initially be only a pre-order bonus.
Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Tim Pivnicny stated, "While we're never eager to announce delays for our products, we are incredibly excited to be able to upgrade the final release of Legacy of Ys to a premium boxed package. The soundtrack CD, once a bonus for pre-orders, is now going to be offered to everyone who picks up a copy from the game's limited first print run." This isn't the only news to come from Atlus. They have officially stated that the Atlus Spoils program, in which they offer extra bonuses to fans, will continue indefinitely during 2009.
