Square Enix announced today that Final Fantasy XI for the Xbox 360 will be launching simultaneously with the newest expansion, Treasures of Aht Urhgan on Tuesday, April 18. The Xbox 360 version of the game will ship with all expansions, including the newest one, and will be available at a suggested retail price of $49.99.
With the release of the newest expansion looming on the horizon, Square Enix mentioned that gamers won't need to have other expansions to play this title, however, they will need to purchase the original Final Fantasy XI. The company has also announced that Treasures of Aht Urhgan will sell for the price of $29.99 for the PlayStation 2 and PC.
Final Fantasy XI for the Xbox 360 requires a broadband connection and the hard drive. Final Fantasy XI: Treasures of Aht Urhgan for Windows requires a DVD-ROM drive and the hard drive for the PlayStation 2 version. Both of these titles will be released in Europe on the same day as in Japan, on Thursday, April 20.
