Microsoft Game Studies recently announced that a Windows version of Fable is in the works. Fable: The Lost Chapters will feature the same story and gameplay as its Xbox predecessor, but will also include enhanced graphics, expanded customization, and new content. In addition to new quests, areas, and creatures, the game will feature new story elements for the player to uncover. There will also be new weapons, spells, armor, and expressions exclusive to the Windows version. The website for Fable: The Lost Chapters was launched along with the announcement.
The focus of the game is still on forging a moral alignment through missions, quests, and NPC interaction. Fable: The Lost Chapters is being developed by Lionhead Studios, and is expected to be available this fall.
The original Fable was released last September on the Xbox, and broke sales records with more than 375,000 units sold in the first week. Developed by Black Box and Lionhead Studios, the game has sold 1.4 million copies worldwide.
