According to an interview godda by Famitsu, two former developers from Square Enix are taking part in the creation of the two previously reported RPGs slated for the next generation of Xbox. Daisuke Fukugawa, who worked on Final Fantasy Tactics and Legend of Mana, is on roster for the two projects. Hiroshi Arai, an old designer at Square Enix, who did work on Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy IX will be granted the task of working on design for the new RPGs.
Sakaguchi also revealed that the two RPGs set for Microsoft's upcoming console are the only projects in progress for next generation consoles, and that no games are under development for the PlayStation 3 at this time. Sakaguchi also made it clear that their choice concerning platform is not a question of power, but a result of the good relations between Mistwalker and Xbox Japan.
