Capcom, in conjunction with Game Factory, has announced they are working on a new MMORPG for all major platforms and PC. In a completely unexpected move, Capcom has decided to base this new MMORPG off of its infamouus Ghosts n' Goblins franchise. For those who are unfamiliar with the Ghosts n' Goblins franchise, it involves King Arthur's quest to recover his queen from a particularly nasty band of demons. The games were famous for their unique gameplay and made infamous by their insanely high difficulty level.
This new iteration in the series will involve Arthur's son, presumably on some sort of quest. Capcom has stated that there will be 11 playable characters and 6 job classes. No mention was made of how Capcom intends to turn a one-player franchise into a MMORPG. The game, tentatively titled Ghosts n' Goblins Online, is set to be released in Japan in the spring of 2004.
