Disney has revealed another area of the Kingdom Hearts world, and it's a bit of a departure from the other regions hitherto revealed. Then again, the movie upon which the area is based is itself a departure from standard Disney fare. The area in question is themed after Tim Burton's 1993 release The Nightmare Before Christmas, a movie with a very distinct brand of animation. Appearing from the movie will be Jack Skellington, the cavorting King of Halloween who stumbles into a Christmas dream-land and doesn't quite know what to make of it. In the game, Skellington will be, as always, spreading Halloween-style goodness, an undertaking which Sora will no doubt factor into somehow.
This recent announcement might just round out the cast of Kingdom Hearts, which is slated for release in Japan on the 28th of this month. The game will retail for 6800 yen, or approximately $52.00 US.
