Final Fantasy XI is only months away from its Japanese release, and Square is filling in RPGamers on all the tips and tricks they'll need to be successful as they play through the game. One of these tips is having the ability to communicate with other players; to help players do this, the game incorporates a command system that will cause characters to react physically to situations. If the player wishes to laugh, for example, they would type the "/laugh" command and their character will appear to be laughing.
Final Fantasy XI is the first game in the series to incorporate an entirely online setting. Players will interact with thousands of people as they explore the vast world of Vana'diel. The game's Japanese release date will be solidified next week, when the company discusses its plans for the coming year.
