To sign up for Sock 2, send an e-mail to slimey@rpgamer.com indicating your interest. Unlike the first competition, ALL Sock 2-related e-mail will go to that account- so make sure you send THERE, or else I'll be sure to yell at you <3. As a starting leg-up, you get to choose a starting job, which you will gain a bonus level in from the start. Let me know of your choice at the time you send your sign-up e-mail! The available starting jobs are described below, and all possess different advantages and disadvantages. Choose wisely, though note that you are never limited to just one job! As you gain levels, indeed, you may spread your experience through more than one job, becoming good at many. You also begin with 10 points and 50 Gold.

You may change your choice between now and the start of the competition, but I need to have an initial estimate of who is where.

Note: If you are an RPGamer staff member or the family member of a staff member, you are more than welcome to compete! However, you may not win any "physical" prizes such as games. Cohost opportunities and the like will be available, though!

Initial Stats

Everybody in the competition will begin with a little bit of change in their purse; 50 Gold ought to do it. With that money, you can take your action on any day to go shopping. Gain more by answering questions and attacking enemies! Everyone also begins with 10 Points.

Participate in today's Beta Test! This will mimic the real thing, but keep in mind that the actual gameplay may change slightly between now and the actual competition. Tee-hee, I've always wanted to say that!

The original North American releases of Final Fantasy II and III on the SNES both had Berserk spells whose names were shortened in order to fit in the five or six-letter limit. Though they were spelled differently, the letters omitted from each were the same. What were those letters? (5 points)

Honesty is important! Don't spoil the game. Keep in mind that masqueraders will be obvious, since two submissions under the same name will cause me to fire an e-mail to the true competitor based on my records, where I can verify their actions. Anybody caught cheating in this manner will be immediately removed from the competition!

Please fill out your nickname and your actions for the day! Place your answer choices in the respective boxes (don't worry about being precise with wording or anything), and write your action in the action box. You can equip or unequip stuff once per day without taking your action up, too. Examples of actions could be "I want to attack Li'l Ant!" or "I want to buy two Eye Dropses!" or "I want to buy a Wood Sword and Smelling Salts, and I want to equip the Wood Sword!"
