School is over; still no grades yet. It's now 5 am; I almost forgot to do the column. Was busy trying to compose music (try being the key word). Let's get this show on the road.

    Guess the Quote Contest
Try to guess (be specific) the quote towards the top of the page. If you're the first one to email me with the correct answer, I'll mention you in my next column. An individial may not win the contest twice in a row.

it's from a Fox Trot strip, and it's said by jason when he writes a paper that's really long.

Surprisingly enough, you were the first of a good number who knew the reference. However, a good number of you didn't pay close attention or just misinterpreted the comic. It's supposed to be funny because Jason Fox is running a "program" in his brain to do his book report without having to actively think about it, and he fails because he forgot to define a variable in his brain. But many of you mailed me saying that he wrote a computer program to do the work for him. That's not the case, and it wouldn't be as clever if it was.

    coins to burn
    S'up Aegis,

I'm short on cash I have about 95$ and 40$ of it is to pay off the rest of FFX after I pick it up since reserving it. So, I was wondering out of Wizardry and Jade Cocoon 2 since they are being released fairly close to each other which one should I pick up? Wizardry with its D&D style sound cool but I loved Jade Cocoon and I am having a bit of a dilemma trying to pick one think you could give me a hand? it would be well appreciated! Later!

    Crazed Final Fantasy Fan

Hooray for typing the dollar sign after the number. I do that too. Well, I don't care much for D&D, especially if you're doing it on a computer or console. That considered, if you liked the first Jade Cocoon, I'd recommend the sequel.

Remember, though, I'm biased, so you may wanna consider renting both just in case.

    shoo fly, don't bother me
It was mentioned that one of the good things to look forward for gamecube is harvest moon series. but harvest moon is a ps2 series as well..even a ps1 series so ps2 owners wont miss out. Just some info :)

I've been pretty civil when it comes to stupid emails.... I usually just don't print them. However, partially because I have little mail and partially because I feel like it, I'm going to poke at this letter here. Future would-be stupid letter writers be warned.

It was never mentioned that a Harvest Moon game is coming to the GameCube (and hence, it couldn't have been mentioned that it was one to look forward to). A guest host said that if there was such a game, it would make her consider buying the system.

Secondly, to call Harvest Moon a "PS2 series" or anything similar is ludicrous. Harvest Moon is a series, yes, but it's a one that spans numerous consoles, hitting the SNES, Game Boy, N64, PlayStation, and PlayStation2. So, while PS2 owners "wont miss out" (lack of apostrophe and all), by that logic, neither will Game Boy owners. What's your point?

    Hello there Monsieur Aegis,

I was curiously wondering a few questions that I figured you could answer.

    1. Arc the Lad collection... When is it supposed to be released? I keep asking Electronics Boutique and they keep changing their mind. And Working Designs doesn't tell on their website.

    2004. Rough Estimate.

I jest, I jest. Don't want to incur the wrath of Vic Ireland, who has it in his power to smite me. Twice. But seriously, your guess is as good as mine. Spring, maybe?

    2. Any good news on Breath of Fire 5? That would be cool. I am sure it is coming, but do you know approximately when?

I have no idea, hadn't even heard its announcement, assuming you're not mistaken on the matter. Keep watching our front page for news.

    3. Is it just me, or is Lulu's belt-dress the coolest thing you have ever seen?

    4. This one isn't really a question. I am going to attempt to plug my website while I ask questions and hope everyone goes there, cause it makes me feel happy, and that is what is important, right?

    Hooray for web sites!

    5. Well, thank you for your time.

    Yep, do what I can.

    reminders from rare
This is strange, but: I get goosebumps almost everytime I see the LotR trailer - the one that was shown with Harry Potter; it's quite eerie. Truely, I think this is a premonition or something. Just thought I'd share that because it's been several ages since I've had true hair raising visable goosebumps. Okay, I'm done now.

Moral of the story: Beats me? Go see the movie?

Oh, wait, better mention a game or somthing... er, FFX tommorow! ;)

Yeah, I get goosebumps when I watch the Chrono Cross opening. Not because of the visuals, mind you, but because of "Scars of Time."

Anyhow, I printed this as a reminder. The Lord of the Rings movie opens on Wednesday (must read blasted book before then). Also, most stores should be receiving their (your, if you wanna look at it that way) copies of FFX on Wednesday. It's a two-fer!

    End of the Road:

Short column? Yeah, I know. I've gotta rig it where I do this column on a night other than the one night a week I work. Oh, before I close, I'd like to wish former RPGamer Q&A host Thor Antrim and his mother the best of luck in having a healthy, happy, and comfortable Christmas, and I'd like to encourage everyone who hasn't yet seen the page here, which tells about Thor's problems and how you can help, to do so.

After time away, our dear slime should be back for Q&A tomorrow. Greet him well, will you?
